With over 150 wineries in the Willamette Valley, Portlanders are pretty lucky to be able to drive out to wine country for a quick weekend getaway or even an afternoon tasting. Here’s what a trip to Oregon wine country looks like.

Wine tasting tip: bring your own snacks!

A bit of typical McMenamin’s kitsch/hippy/history, staying in the William T Newby room at Hotel Oregon. “He was a man of strong and vigorous mind, indomitable energy and perseverance.”

Magnificent sunset at the Hotel Oregon rooftop bar

Lovely view at Anne Amie Vineyard

All wineries should be required to provide their guests with hammocks. Kudos to Anne Amie vineyards.

From the Russian River Valley just north of the California Oregon border to the Columbia River Gorge in the north of Oregon, you’ll find lots of great wineries throughout Oregon!
