Portland in November
November is a gorgeous time to visit Portland, with just about every shade of red, orange, and yellow leaves falling from the trees. It can also be a a bit chilly and grey in November, with days feeling either almost summery if the sun is out, or feeling like the dead of winter if it’s cold and rainy.
November is a chilly month in Portland. With average highs in the low 50s and lows in the low 40s, it can seem even colder because of all the rainfall (an average of 5 inches in November). On the upside, ski season starts in November with Mt. Hood Meadows, Timberline, and Ski Bowl opening.

THINGS TO DO
Enjoy the natural beauty of Portland in November. With the holidays arriving this month, it’s a fun time to check out the Holiday Ale Fest and a few other seasonal food/wine festivals. And it’s always a good time to find new restaurants, explore a different side of town, stay indoors a bit more (ie. coffee shops, brew pubs, and pizza/beer movie theaters), or visit Mt Hood to catch some of the first snow of the season.
